Editing Development

During our 2 hour media lesson we imported our footage onto the Mac to make sure that our footage was stored somewhere in case it got deleted on the camera.
We then spent a little while trying to figure out how to work final cut pro and tested things out so that we could edit out footage properly. Once we put our footage on the program 'final cut pro' and
started playing around with certain things.
This screen shot shows the footage that we shot when we imported it onto the programme we was going to use. When deciding what clips to use we only took parts from the clips as we felt that if we took the whole clip we would have struggled to fit our opening sequence between 1.55 and 2.0 5 minutes.

In this screen shot we put all of our clips in the right order so that they went together how we planned. We then shortened some of the clips as some went on too long and didn't want the audience to lose interest. We also made some of the clips longer as we felt that some clips needed to play for longer to catch the audiences attention more.
A this point we was going through our clips to see  which of them needed any touches or effects to makes sure all the shots went together properly. We also wanted to make sure we have continuity as it is one of the most important things to have in a film/opening sequence. This scene with the newspaper looked really affective on it own however we decided to add an effect to it so that it was the same as the other clips and didn't look different to the other parts as we want it to look as good as possible.
