Different shots and rules

Rules and shots -

Shot reverse shot - is a technique used in films when one character is shown looking at another character and the other character is shown looking back at the first charcter. this makes the viewers feel more involved in the conversation. This shot is used when there is a conversation between two people that are quite important.
180 degree rule - is a rule that is used in a lot of films. When there are two people talking and there is a line from one of them to the other and both cameras have to stay on one side of that line. The only time this rule can be broken is when they show the camera crossing the line. If this rule is broken it is called jumping the line or crossing the line.

Match on action - is a mask of movement by showing two shots. These two shots show the different points of view of characters. These two shots make things flow a lot more.
