Evaluation of filming - Makeup

Here denotes when we stayed behind to experiment with makeup to create a really damaged look that was different to how it was at the start of the opening. As the makeup started off perfect and precise to connote that the character hides her imperfections behind her makeup. Also we wanted to make sure that the opening had continuity so we made sure we kept the red eyes and lips even at the end when the character was supposed to look damaged.

Here we put black eyeshadow under the eyes to make the character look really drawn and tired. Also we used it to show that this character isn't perfect and cant always hide her dark/imperfect side.
Before this scene we had a shot with a trail of blood which connotes danger so we needed to continue with this and a make the main character look really dangerous.

Here we have added more black eyeshadow to the face as we felt that what we had before wasn't enough to make the main character look dangerous as this scene would be our last so needs to be as affected as possible.
Also with the black eyeshadow it connotes darkness and cracks within her personality which would connote that she has more than one side to her which is what we need.

Here is a closer look at the makeup to denote that we have put the black eyeshadow around her eyes and face to make her look worn out and dangerous and it does however we still felt that this wasn't enough as we had planned to have the main character look almost the opposite to how she did at the start so that the viewers can see that she isn't normal and that the things she's has done has really affected her inside and out.

Here we have added the red lipstick but before this we planned for the lipstick to be prefect and normal to connote that she isn't totally different however this plan was changed as after trying it we decided it wasn't affective enough so we decided to smudge the lipstick to make her look even more crazy and damaged as this would suggest that she has been rubbing her face due to the amount of stress that she is under.

Here we decided to put food colouring smudges on the main characters face to show that she has done something that she shouldn't. We also added the food colouring onto her hands so that it is affective for out last scene as we want the viewers to be left wondering what is going to happen next. Our last scene is planned to be a shot that goes from her hands upwards quite unsteady so that the shot is more affective as you will see the hands with the fake blood so that viewers can see that she is dangerous.

We will then pan up from the hand, up the arm, across the chest, up the shoulder, up the neck and over the face. To connote that she is a damaged character as the face will be dark and dirty.
